October 11. 2017- Welcome back and hello to new visitors. The fall always brings a flurry of new work as the weather cools and I spend less time outside with distractions. Figurative work coming soon…I have been concentrating on images of nostalgia, confusion and distance. Less abstract than past figurative work, but with my familiar ennui and evocation of life a little off balance. I will look for representation for the figuratives when this body of work is nearing completion. Many of them will initially show in Montclair next spring.

Hello visitors…The summer of 2017 heat is here, but there is so much painting to do! An air condotioned studio is the only way to work in this humidity and I’m lucky to hve one now. Lots of new landscapes to see here and Figuratives still in the works. Looking for new gallery representation specifically for the landscapes, so please shoot me an email with any suggestions. I have another Library Show next June 2018 in Montclair which will focus on the figure mostly, so I will be starting new pieces soon for that… it takes me forever to finish them! Best to everyone!

August 5, 2018- A wet cool spring proved very productive in the studio. I had a show in town here (Belmar) with great response. That was mostly landscapes and Still life paintings and some sales. Then the big show at the Montclair Public Library for the month of June. It was all Figuratives for this show and amazing response to the work especially on reception night where the most common question was, “whats with the eyes?”. Not surprising really. I have many responses to this question, but mostly I prefer people to read what they want in the works. I rely on the viewer to bring their baggage to the experience and I hear far more explanations and interpretations of the work than I could make up. Which is precisely as it should be. Browse the page of Figuratives from the show and pease leave feedback via the email link if interested. Surprisingly quite a few pieces sold. On a related note, many are still for sale and I am looking for representation for all my work. Any help toward representation that pans out will be rewarded with a small painting or similar consideration. Please feel free to share the images with appropriate accreditation… keeping in mind I (the artist) always own the image. If you want to clear the use of an image first then simply shoot me a text. I do not allow any use of any image that generates income without prior authorization in writing from me. Thanks for stopping by!
